Congratulations to him and thanks to everyone who played.

Another appalling performance by me. Damn I suck this year.

Cheers for keeping tabs on it all for 3 weeks afx....................do you have to go back to work now?

After a promising start, and wearing the PTP maillot jaune for a few days, I seem to have faded as quickly as Moreau. Ho hum, serves me right for choosing someone from a dodgy team for GC I suppose.

Damn - missed the podium by three points (after losing the out of yellow by one point last year). My personal points magnet Cadel delivers again. I'd be lost without him.

Excellent work AFX - mere words can't thank you enough.

AFX - Thanks very much - again!. Definitely dedication above and beyond.

However, I would like to point out that there are very substantial rumours originating from a Danish website concerning the eight who finished ahead of me. They had all claimed that they would be on Bikeradar for the last month but apparently were seen in early July on Veloriders and Eurosport by David Duffield. I think the only honorable thing is for them to withdraw.

    Dear All
I'm chuffed to have carried off the maillot jaune.
It has been great fun trying to pick the right man each day, and it seems that The Mighty Thor & Robbie Hunter's wins were the difference. It was hard to back against the Brits in the prologue & Stage 1, but my head ruled over my heart !!!
I've only been following pro cycling for a few years since starting riding for fitness. I'm obsessed now and think it's a beautiful sport. I hope it moves forward from here, as this PTP competition shows how many folks are passionate about it.

I shall be riding up the Champs- Elysees on the British Legion's Pedal To Paris ride in a few weeks, for the 3rd time, and I'll toast you all with a bottle of champagne at L'Arc de Triomphe.

Again, many thanks for running PTP

Best wishes, ride safely & good luck for the rest of the PTP season

    Greg

Cheers Greggyr and well done on your picks - the only rider to carry off the maillot jaune entirely clean!

Thanks to everyone for the thanks. It's good fun, so roll on the Vuelta (I'm laying down an early claim for Sastre.)

Interesting early pick! What about Dave Millar for the TTs? I'll preliminarily pick him.

Should we start a Vuelta discussion thread?

Thanks for running the PTP, shows how important the GC is as I went from near the top to near the middle thanks to Mr Menchov's no show (though really I blame Rasmussen for that  ).

Looking forward to the Vuelta (and of course everything in between), but will Millar ride the Vuelta? I don't think he will... SD have got a lot of other riders to cram into their 9 and with Millar leaving to Slipstream they might just say, nah we'll send someone else.
