And how bloody crap is this?!

A few questions though... Do we have the same mods?
Is alex one of them?
Is Avi one of them?
Can we have bike pics in our sigs?
Are the WMB lot really as jhey as we first thought?
Is it that much worse?
Is there any hope at all?

The magic eight ball says 'Unlikely'. This place feels 'cold'.

    What's so crap about it?

The only thing I can think against it is the lack of a quick reply function and the active topics aren't grouped into groups.

    Oh noes!

EDIT: oh and we have to shout our names apparently.

People are afraid of change. As I was hardly a regular poster before, I'm sure I'll adjust. Its just an internet forum. I did fear some of the more entertaining regulars might leave. Anyways, the lack of a quick reply function is pretty major.

I used to be a member of the MBUK forum when it first started, on some funny looking, mostly black site. That was pretty poor. Then I left, and came back to the recent one, which was pretty good. Lots of handy features.

This new forum, however, is annoying, there's far too much white, there's adds to the right and the top of the screen, and it doesn't work on widescreen monitors properly.

Apart from visual things, and the fact that there's WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too many sections to trawl through now (seperate FAQ for roadies and MTBers? why?) it doesn't strike me as being too bad.

    Nope, it's better.

Don't know but I do know that not only is the louse is a mod but he has taken over modding the roadie forum aswell, I know this because the git locked my topic about getting off your tits. Despite this, it gives me a warm feeling that the world of MTBism is slowly invading, pillaging and taking over the roadie world.

    Technically yes.
Probably good etiquette to keep them small though.

    No. We are all doomed.

No - because thats for the better, we moved house with no reason to, and it's NOT for the better, I really don't think there was anyone who wanted the change on the old MBUK...... My opinions, i guess we'll just have to live with it.

Hello all, i have just come back from a week in spain.

Have to say, not liking this new layout etc...

Might get used to it but we will see...

How is everyone anyway's? Have i missed anything?
  • So, i came back onto the forum while out here in the french rain, to discover the whole MBUK forum locked, so came onto here. It seems ok so far, i'll get used to it, BUT, there's too much white, so the screen os confusing, and there's no quick reply function. Other than that (and the fact that my Trials Moderatorship seems to have died), it seems alright.

Hello to all the C+ and WMB guys!

they need to bloody well fix the quoting software. It was working this morning, now it's not.

It is because Bulletin Board code has been disabled, presumably to prevent use of the IMG tag. Hopefully they'll find a way of restoring BB code with the IMG function deactivated. There are plenty of other image sharing sites, so let's stick to plain text on this one.

I'm from C+ by the way. Is this the equivalent of C+'s Soapbox? Seems quite tame in comparison- I can't see any of the eternal debates about religion, the failure of socialism, private schools, speed cameras or climate change!!

The reason its so tame is that most of the regulars are in Morzine riding, just wait till they get back then it'll be chaos.

I would QFT you, except that the forum is b0rked, and quoting of any kind becomes impossible. I'd be a lot less pissed off about the whole thing if they hadn't done such a half assed job on it.
