Help me! I've caught the pimping bug!!!

I want to buy a blue Hope headset for my Marlin! I know the rest of the new kit on my bike is silver (forks, gears, brakes, hubs) but want the headset to stand out. Will this look so stupid it'll be great, or just stupid full stop?

I agree with Dunk, Gold would look good. But you have to get a gold seat clamp too

i have caught the gadget bug i have spent nearly £70 tonight on a new bag and little bits for my bike,, i am sat at home like a little kid on christmas eve,

Its incurable, you just look at your bike and think, 'wouldn't it be nice if......'

As i'm saving up at the moment i'm trying not to spend much. However I have already bought a new chain and cassette this month; so plan isn't going well.

I've already got a new saddle, seatpost and hydrapak this month, along with some hope barplugs (tastefil black). Only the frame, headset and seatclamp are original on the bike now so...... well, ya know how it goes

I'm doing very well at the moment. I haven't bought anything other than lube and tubes for about three months.

You've got it bad then, new frame soon? I want a new front wheel, shifters and crankset but that will have to wait until I move house / location / job. The biggest shame is that I will be moving away from the cheapest bike shop in the UK, I won't like paying full price at all.

Blondie.... are you gonna come to the Scott/Giant demo days at Aston Hill on 28th/29th July?

Not sure what to get in blue. Seatclamp is the obvious one, bar plugs could be done and I could see if I can get a blue Hope stem i suppose

Seagull... a new frame will no doubt be bought when the 08 ranges are launched. Just not sure what one to get at the mo.

Possibly, though

a) I'm not after a new bike and
b) Aston Hill is not my favourite place - too many lairy DH types for me who look at my bike funny

You don't need to be after a new bike, just come for the ride and to try out the 08 range of top end bikes, along with refreshments. There probably won't be too many of the snobby locals there that day as we'll be taking over the place pretty much. I'll be there on the 29th helping out (stuck in the shop on 28th)
