Was up so early this morning, nervous about my ride in the evening. Bike in car, plenty of time to get there, get lost, didnt realise group gone to start.
then get there to find everyone changing wheels due to bad wind.
no.16, watching them all go. then my turn, set off too fast, blow up at 3 miles with headwind, max out at 14mph on small chainring churning on for 5 miles. TT bikes flying by like jets. counting the miles to turning and coming back.
wind now more of a tail, managed to wind a bigger gear 25mph all the way home...
finishing time.......29.02!!!!!
done it, sub 30 on first run on what some said is the worst conditions this year. 8)

I enjoyed it and will return next week. Its painful to say the least but now i can say i can pedal evens on a 10tt. 8)
My achievments for the first 6 months of cycling are,
commute weekdays 7 miles (hilly) each way,
pedalled evens on a 10tt,
managed to complete a 20mile chaingang (on back not in chain),
confident in groups on a club runs.

just 10's this year, want to be confident and consistant with times on the 10's this year. Cant believe that alot of people who do 25's keep almost the same average as they do for the 10's.
time to dig out the HRM me thinks :roll:I\'m a little man on a Giant bike!
