Shock oil leaking

I noticed that there had been some oil leaked from the shock on my Scott Genius and wondered if this was serious or not, wasnt sure if the oil was just for lubricating the seals and may be ok or whether or not this is more serious :?: The oil appears to be coming from the very top of the shock.
Should i get the bike in to get checked out before using more :?:

Shocks do not contain much oil, you need to get this checked out by a dealer.0

Shock got sent back to Scott to get looked at as was due a service anyway. Cant remember exact problem but will get details later.
I would get it looked at, although be prepared for a couple of week turn around. It may well be quicker by now but i was told by LBS that due to Scott doing all work inhouse now they were having long turnarounds as they were still in the process of getting everything setupp etc0 -

I took it back to the lbs today who have to send the shock back to scott, so now it's just a waiting game.0
