This is what I found in my local Guardian newspaper this afternoon.
"Are adult cyclists colour blind?, because we have seen them going through red traffic lights several times now when vehicles are waiting for the lights to change.
Are they exempt from the law?, I feel that I should have a lasso and bring them back to where they should be waiting."
Unfortunately the name or address werent supplied with the letter.
Anyone got any views on this??

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">Today i've FPN'd 3 motor vehicles fo red light offences (and i was only popping over the hQ to collect one of my staff), but i don't see anyone writing indignat letter to the Guardian about this.
Stand by any set of busy traffic lights at rush hour, and you will see plenty of cars amber gambling or failing, or using the old "it only went red 2 seconds ago and the other queue hasn't started moving yet so i can still make it" trick, but no one seems interested in writing pompous and irresponsible letters about them.
what is it about cyclists (true cyclists like us, not idiots that just happen to own a bike) that makes us so wide open for folk to have a pop?

As posted elsewhere, "them"---"us".
25% of London bus drivers ignore red lights.

The author has a point. No excuses for going through red lights - cars, buses or bicycles. Two wrongs don't make a right!!!

That is true, but according to my calculations, if you then multiply the two wrongs (2w) by the square of the original wrong (w1), you will find that the number given, when raised to the power of self-righteousness (*sr), DOES actually make a right (R).
((2w).(w1)*2)*sr = R
