Stupidly left home last night for a ride back to South-East London without any form of puncture repair stuffies; of course this leads to my first puncture in ages. Managed to hobble my way (in cleats and lycra) to The Rosemary Branch pub on Shepperton Road and proceeded to be greeted by enthusiastic cyclist types who nipped off to get me a puncture repair kit and a pump; I can't thank them enough, it really really really made my evening (still didn't get home before the rain though).
Also thanks to the cute lady on the moped who commented on my speed as I raced her up the hill [and I would have won if she didn't do the whole accelerating/cheating thing...] from Regent's Park to Holloway, it kept me grinning most of the way home.
Yesterday was a very long day...
I'm not doing laps, I'm looking for the way out.
