specialized pave seatpost

I,m thinking of buying a specialized pave carbon seatpost (39.99 from Evans). Seems good value for money but I have heard stories about them snapping. Just wondered if anyone has any opinions/experience of them?

I've had one on a hybrid thats been used daily for 12 months on few miles of rough tracks. Im 15 stone and not particulary carefull with my stuff. It does also provide some damping of frame zing.

Well worth the money 9 out 10, best buy

Ive got one on my Sirrus, which I used to use on club runs before I got the road bike,its done about 1200 miles since I got the post at start of Feb, Ive never had a problem so far.

If I had a baby elephant, who would take it for walks?
