Has anybody got one of these or seen it working?
Looks almost too good to be true! The P350 is a handheld Pocket PC with a GPS inside it. You can run Memory Map on it, so you can get an OS map on the screen, with a display of the route that you generated on your PC, and a blob to show where you are.
If it really does all this, I want one!

Yes, i have one, works really well, and I also use mapopolis sat nav software for long distance driving - one of the cheaper sat nav programmes available, but includes all of western europe at œ60. the memory map is absolutely superb for any activity off the beaten track; although I probably wouldn't use the device when mountain biking, or in our current summer climate without some sort of extra protection such as an Otterbox.

I'm interested in this unit as well. Is it possible to load a Windows version of Memory Map or do you need to buy a Win Mobile version? And can the Windows Memory-Map maps be ported across?

Memory Map when purchased includes an piece of software for the PDA called Pocket Navigator, so you don't purchase a specific PDA version, its all included.

You copy maps to the device memory, so you get the appropriate OS map with a visual indicator of position, plus other featurs like direction, GPS compass, altitude etc. you can plot routes on the PC and then use the overlay on the portable device, or use the track recorded on the PDA to display the route you took on the PC.

My only niggle with Memeory MAp/Pocket Nav is that at car speeds there is a slight lag in terms of actual position & displayed position, which can be a nusance. At walking speeds the delay isn't apparent, bike falls somewhere in between.
