Removing Ultra-Torque Chainset.
Thinking of getting a compact chainset to switch around as and when needed. I currently have 53/39, but the compact would be useful sometimes.
I have a Centaur Ultra-Torque chainset. Am I correct in saying this is removed with an 8 or 10mm Allen key, as opposed to a specific tool?
Knackered? Me?

Hi
I have used a 10mm allen key which has been cut down i.e the bend has been removed. Then used it with a 10mm socket and torque wrench to ensure the right torque when tightening up again. Campag have issued a warning that an allen key on its own should not be used as you would not be able to get them tight enough.
There is a special campag tool available if you wanted to buy it.0 -
I use a 10mm hex key 3/8" square socket set extension - you can buy a full set from Halfrauds for about a tenner and you'll never round off an Allen key head again.0
