How to service a pump

My minipump (a ToPeak masterblaster - I think)
Is clogged up - I keep it under my saddlebag and with having no guards - it gets a fair spray of grit/water/mud
Anyway it no longer sucks air in (apart from where it's meant to only go out)
So I guess it needs a clean/service - how do I do this?
I was just going to take it all apart, including plunger from barrel
and wash it all with soapy water.
But then I have to oil it?
What do I use:
FinishLine Dry or Wet chain lube, 3 in 1 oil, seriously purple grease or just jeave it to dry?
Is there anything I need to beware of, or is servicing a pump foolproof?

i lubed track pump with a small amount of vaseline around the plunger, i would guess this would be ok for a small frame pump too.0

I used dry type chain lubricant - teflon based I think. It seems to have worked fine. I didn't use 3 in 1 or regular grease because I didn't want to pump petroleum based stuff into the inner tubes in case it rotted them.
As for dismantling and assembly it's not difficult but if it is a double acting pump (pumps in both directions) there are more bits inside than a regular pump so just make sure you can remember how it all goes together. Sounds like it might be better wrapped in a plastic bag for future health.

I cleaned it out + no change - its still doesn't work
Its as if the plunger isn't letting air past it, to fill the barrel, on the up stroke.
Is this the end of my Topeak pocket rocket master blaster pump?

Fling it and buy a new one.
