what tyres (again)

I've got a few charity rides coming up 50 miles or so and was going to change the tyres on my 'crosser (700c) for them, what should I use?

    Continental ultra gator skins. i don't want to tempt fate but i've not a had a single you know what in 2000 miles and they're reasonably fast too.
