tape and tubular tyres

Hi there,

just in the process of buying my new zipp's and all the tyres, tape, etc.

I have bought the tufo high comp carbon tub, tufo tyre sealant and the tufo extreme tape.

Is the process of putting the tyre on the wheel, using the tape, the same as using glue? If not, can someone briefly outline how to do it using the tape, as i cant seem to find anywhere on the net.

Piece of advice in terms of putting the sealant in your tyres: unscrew the valve cores and use the outside of a syringe as a minature funnel - whatever you do, don't try and inject it with the syringe - it will go everywhere!

Another piece of advice would be to put the tubs onto the rims unglued for 24 hours or so to stretch them, this will help you when you come to put them on in anger and save you fighting to get them on the rims.
