Londoners - Security marking Cavendish Square

A colleague told me she saw a sign saying police were doing bike security marking here today (26th), not sure what time but it is down the road from me so I'm taking a wander down at lunchtime to see what's what.
Anything that even slightly increases your chances of getting a bike back if it's nicked has to be good...at least it means it won't end up getting sold for buttons in one of those police auctions.

Will do. I'm picking my bike up from the workshop at lunch so it's no trouble to wander over.

Hmmm. Very odd. Sign said today's date between 11am-7pm but there is no one there at all, although the big sign is still there next to all the bikes parked in the stands on the square.
I even went into the garden square bit in the middle in case they had set up there, but nothing. I might try looking again on my way home to see if they have shown up!

Got mine done on my way home. They were packing up at six since it had been "pretty quiet."
This fakenger's highlight was when they asked if I was a courier. I did feel like a tw@t when I said I wasn't

I got mine done last week, Tuesday as I recall. I thought it was meant to etch the frame but the numbers wiped off!0

timmins - where exactly were they on cavendish square? I walked up from Chandos street and could not see them. Were they hiding or what? I expected them to be vaguely close by to the sign advertising that they would be there...

They were on the south-west corner, standing right by the sign. There are a few community support dudes, and a handful of coppers.0 -
Thanks, I must have missed them completely - the sign I saw was on a different corner and I guess I was expecting them to be in vague proximity. Plus I started to feel like an idiot walking around the square with my bike looking for them so I didn't go all the way round.
There was another date on the board so I will try and get them that day instead.
