If a VW Touran will carry 3 people 3 bike bags and 3 small suit cases. Does anyone own this car/people carrier and can you please advise?

    If you can remove part of the rear seat, i.e. leaving one in the back, then you should have enough room to fit the bikes alongside - I could get three bikes, people and kit in a Chrysler PT cruiser, which is probably smaller. Suggest you use 'soft' bags rather than cases, so you can stuff them into akward spaces. you problem if it's a rental car is that you can't take the seats out and leave them at the depot.

    An old top tip: save money on expensive "bike" bags by going to your nearest army surplus and buying US body bags (they are bigger than the UK ones).
