Bianchi Size guide

Have to order a bike with halfords and was wondering if anyone had a bianchi size guide. I have a cannondale r400 in a 53cm frame and was wondering whether i should stick with that size for my bianchi or go up to a 55cm frame.

I think you need to check this out with someone who knows what they are talking about better than most Halfords staff do.

Italian bikes used to be sized to the middle of the cross tube, not to the top (I don't know if this is still true), so if you ride a 53 cm now, you might need a 52 cm Italian bike!

On the other hand, the geometry of Cannondale bikes used to make them longer than other makes with the same frame size (I also don't know if this is still true), so if you are happy with the 'reach' now, you might prefer a slightly larger frame size than 53 cm.

Generally speaking, when in doubt, I would 'round down'.

i emailed some shop in america and they have been helpful and recommended i stick with the 53cm. im going to a shop tomorrow (to get my cannondale fixed) hopefully they'll have some bianchis in which i can try out

I'm 5'9'' with a 32 inside leg. I have a 55cm Bianchi but would recommend a visit to you LBS to try one out.

Try one out - Evans often have them in stock, and you won't feel guilty wasting their time compared to a small independent shop.
