Hi,

Looking to buy an aero helmet - and its a decision between 2 (Links below)

I like last one more - however i wanted your opinions onto which may bring better performance - also the first one says it has "two lenses, smoke and yellow for improved visibility." When it says yellow for improved visibility - does that mean i wont be struggling to see through it when riding before sunrise?

Thanks for any input as to what may be the better option disregarding the price!

If you want one which is most popular, I would say the LAS model, mainly because I see 2 or 3 people out of 100 at an event using them. The selev's are not better or worse, just not as popular.
Your other option is to go for either the Bell, Giro, LG, or Spiuk helmets, which are all more popular and for those who want to use a visor, use some tape to stick a homemade visor on with.

Of all the aero helmets mentioned, I read a test that gave the Spiuk the best write up as being most 'aero', due to the fact that the rear pointed section of the helmet was enclosed, which gave better airflow characteristics.

Hope this is of some help.

  • www.spiuk.co.uk Look at their Aero. The best looker for a long time.

Then go and try a few on You won't get sense here as your head and position is unique to you and only you candecide by trying it on.
