Does anyone know how to get into a Polar cadence sensor to change the battery?

Two tiny crosspoint screws in the holes next to where the cable ties go through.

It depends on the unit. On the s720i, the cadence sensor can be opened removing the screws as described, but if it's a newer CS series HRM, the units are sealed and the only option is to buy a new sensor.

Not quite! I was able to use a Stanley blade to split apart the casing of my CS speed and cadence sensors, replace the battery and bond it up again with a smear of epoxy (running the epoxy around the outside of the join to waterproof it).

  • It's the new type with no screws. I'll prise it open as per LD.
