TV coverage of Tour
despite scouring the internet I can't find anywhere to watch the tour on TV other than Eurosport, but unfortunately I don't have a dish anymore so can't watch on Sky. Any ideas guys?

I think this whole tv thing sums up the state of British cycling. From what I can see no terrestrial station is covering the Tour here live, while a quick trawl round the satellites I have (Astra/ Hotbird linked) show that RAI(Italy), ARD/ZDF(Germany),RTBF(Belgium) AND RTL(Luxembourg),are covering live.Channel 4 carried it live the last time it was here but now?
I am slightly involved with cyclingfans.com and I think that streams from Denmark, Norway and Luxembourg will be available and Eurosport if they stream (they didnt the Giro). The French have started to stream ,the Dauphine was via France 3 so they may have a feed.0 -
Isn't the prologue live on ITV 1? I'm sure I read that it would be.0

You can get freeview boxes for under œ30. I'd buy one, then flogit on ebay, or to mates before you go.0 -
Kind of an aside to the main topic but ESPN Classic (Sky Channel 442) are showing a series "Hinault & Merckx - Legend on Legend" all next week at 3:30pm each day.... May be worth a watch  :shock:0

Ok, so nothing on terrestrial of the prologue then? I see 5 Live (radio) are doing coverage of the tour from 4 to 7 but when does the prologue actually get under way? Surely before 4?
If anyone has any links to watch streamed footage can you post here please.
I can't get a strong enough signal to pick up digital so I need other means

Well, to confirm what was said earlier, nothing on Saturday on ITV1 and on Sunday the coverage is in 2 sections. An hour in the morning from 10.50-11.50 then 45 minutes in the afternoon from 15.15-16.00.0 -

Nice one Noodley.....I listened to the live feed of Eurosport as found on your link and followed the live text on Cycling News which was a decent compromise to actually watching the pics.0
