Little plastic rings on the rear brake cable

That stop the cable banging against the toptube.

What are they called and do either Ribble or Wiggle sell them? Just fitted a new groupset and the old ones escaped into the lawn[:(!].

  • I found these in my local Evans when I last bought some as I couldn't find them on Wiggle.

    They are in sjscycles.co.uk (in cable spares) at œ1.99 but probably not good value for the postage unless you're getting other stuff at the same time.

    Your LBS should have a big tub of them - cable donuts - alternatively get some narrow heat-shrink sleeve from somewhere like Maplins - it will at least stay in place whereas donuts often migrate towards the ends.

    Sleeve is best. Put a bit of lube on the cable first - prevents corrosion.
