Is it hideously expensive? Have a frame that needs half the forks and the rear triangle rechroming, and not been able to find any idea of the cost involved anywhere. If it's too expensive I'll just find another frame to use for a planned singlespeed.

    Not cheap, plus there's extra work to remove the existing chrome, in addition, the whole frame will need refinishing too.

    As a stopgap try cleaning the existing chrome with Autosol chrome cleaner applied using aluminum foil (foil from Mr Kipling apple pies was ideal when I did this!). You maybe surprised how big an improvement this makes.
