These are the ones i have seen but cant be sure which is best, so any suggestions would be apprecited
Dalkiia (œ699)
Dolan Pallotta (œ799)
Swiss (œ799)

Hi

I bought the Dolan Pallotola about a month ago. It cost a fair bit less than you have below (under œ700). Try www.Terrydolan.co.uk or you could try www.Totalcycling.com as this is where I bought mine.

I am very happy with the frame. Quality is good and it built up very well. Comes with forks, headset and seatpost.

My 10mile TT times have dropped by about 1 min since I got the frame. Not sure if it is all psychological though.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

The Dalkiia and the Onyx look almost identical, probably the same frame underneath the stickers. Very nice thou' going purely on looks I'd go for the Onyx

Aren't the Dalkiia and the Onyx Alexxo the same frame?

The guy that owns/runs Onyx posts on the time trial forum, you could also ask there for opinions. If either of the above had track style ends, I'd buy one but I think the only one that does of the one's listed is the Dolan.

It's no use having a cut-out for the rear wheel unless you can get the rear wheel close and sheltered by it, IMO.

The Swiss is I believe the same frame as the "old" Planet X and there was an almost mint one for sale on the TT forum (http://www.timetriallingforum.co.uk/)

I know the Dolan and the P-X are virtually identical and I think the Dalkia, Swiss and Onyx are pretty well the same too apart from the stickers. Dalkia and Swiss both originate from Hed UK/Ciclismo which if you dig around are pretty well the same people. I agree on it beng pointless having a faired seat tube without rear facing drop-outs.

Given the length of time and distance you'll be riding in TT's, I would also consider alloy frames.
I cant recommend Cervelo enough, but would also check out Quintana Roo.
Of the frames you have listed, I would go for Dolan, since they have been building TT specific frames for a long while now.

Ok, excellent. Didnt consider rear facing drop-outs, but a good point.

• There were 3 Leader 735TT bike frames from USA brand Leader Bikes at the local 10 league last night. One of them came second one came fith one came 8th. 78 degree seat angles, wheel cut out, rear facing dropouts and about a 3rd of the price of what you are looking at (even when shipped from the states with tax paid).

Whenever I ride mine people always ask about it (like they are thinking of getting one). I sold my Cervelo Dual and ride this Leader and I am just as fast. (In fact on two courses... faster!)

I have a Planet X Stealth Pro Carbon, & am majorly impressed with it. It's a fantastic ride, v stiff yet comfortable. Buy one !!!!
• I looked at the Swiss a couple of years and the dimensions didn't seem quite right - the top tube in the size I was looking at was too short (even for a TT frame) and the angles weren't aggressive enough. Granted, this was one of their early frames and they might have corrected this, but it was enough to stop me (and my brother) from buying one.

6ft 1in - I usually take a 57cm top tube on a normal road bike.

Another vote for the Planet X Stealth, had mine about 2 weeks, only ridden it in anger once, took 20 seconds of me PB, this included the last 2 miles with the tri-bars coming loose and dropping down lower, think it was an attempt to get an even more aerodynamic position!! [;)]
Hadn't tighted them up enough and was worried about over tightening the carbon bars beforehand!

Apart from this, great value bike IMO, œ1500 for a full dura ace set up, problem is they don't sell framesets, only complete bikes
