As i look out of my office window it is absolutley teaming down at the moment. I can't wait to get home and out on the bike in the downpour. Why do i love rain..?

I was looking at the pouring rain out there thinking damn Im glad I had today off [:D], of course will probably still get soaked tomorrow m orning, but got a new bike to look forward to with any luck. Always dread cycling in the rain, but do like the feeling of accomplishment from "toughing it out" when it does happen. You just know that the motorists are wondering why the heck you are in shorts when its bucketing it down [:D]0

just been to have a look to see if it is raining, 15 mins till i leave. Made it home yesterday just before the storm broke, wonder if i'll manage the same today[8D]

There's something magically child-like about cycling in the rain as an adult. G/f and workmates think I'm potty but it really does put a smile on my face.

I can appreciate your point. There's something cleansing about the rain... and I don't mean soap kinda cleansing...

i love the rain to, dont like the humidity when it stops!! Have some waterproof socks and they loverlly.
The only thing i dont like about rain is when you leave home in the sunshine and full lycra, tends to be a bit chilly then.

i went out earlier and while trying a new route, got caught up in a thunderstorm. i'd usualy agree with loving the rain but this was past rain - i've never seen weather as bad let alone riden in it. although it was farely flat there was3-4 inches by the side of the road at points and visibility wasn't good at all. i did enjoy it after it lightened up but i wouldn't wish that on anyone!
however i'm not one to complain0 -
the rain is refreshing and riding in gives great satisfaction. i just hate all the sh*t it throws all over the bike.
