Changing Handlebars & Brakes
I have a bike for commuting with flat-bar handlebars.
I want to change to dropped handlebars on the cheap.[:D]
What do I need to think about with this?
I need to change the brake levers as well - I have calliper brakes - which levers?
Are there difference thicknesses of handlebar /stem that I need to consider??
Will my current cables still be fine and is it just a matter of fitting new bars, attaching levers, connecting cables , bar tape & adjustment.
Or, is there more to it? I've been down the diy route before and been caught short.
Any advice?

Right if you are after cheap go for ITM 3ttt bars and stem all for a pultry œ35 and as for brake levers, you can get a set of shimano ones for around œ20-œ30 somewhere ie wiggle, evans cycles.
Actually i forgot to ask how many gears you got? as you may need STI levers, they start from around œ50 for 7 speed and after that the worlds your oyster depending on your budget.
And also you need bartape œ6-œ15 from any bike shop.
good luck with it all.
