Saw a great thing this afternoon was walking down clerkenwell road and at the junction at goswell road a city police man cycled by in full high viz and following him was about 15 nine year old kids on bike's in high viz and wearing helmets with another cycle police man behind them was very funny looked like they where getting a riding in london lesson which i thought was a great idea!
The best thing was seeing how much room and respect the taxi/bus & other car drivers where giving them if only that was how there commute would be really like!!

I've had an Isuzu trooper reverse out of a parking bay and into me and i'm 6'3", clad in police florrie kit, with a white reflective 'police' marked KIT helmet. Most drivers are so ignorant and unobservant they don't even bother looking hard enough to spot a police car, never mind a poor cyclist.
About 2 years ago we tried to ressurect cycle proficiency/safety traning in our farce, but go it knocked on the head as something we're not allowed to do, for no real reason. shame.

won't bother with the police bib then. probably only end up getting arrested for impersonating a copper anyway.
