Saw a nice 613 last weekend and I am starting to lust after it. I haven't ridden one yet. Anyone have/had one and could recommend or otherwise?

  • I used to have one and it was very good. Smooth, comfortable and fast. The only problem I had with it was that it never really felt fast, if that makes sense, could feel a little dead sometimes.

Quality was excellent though, I'd recommend one, I just personally wanted a different tyoe of ride after haveing the 'dale for a couple of years. I know the guy I sold it to is delighted with it. I'd also say that Cannondales tend to be a bit over supplied, so you can usually get a good deal on them

Yeah, I've got one, thoroughly recommend it. Don't know what ColinT is comparing the one he had with to what, but IMHO its outstanding. I bought the frameset with the si carbon compact chainset and the whole bike builds up fairly light.

  • Don't get me wrong, it's a great bike, I loved riding mine, just wanted a change I suppose. I've had 2 cannondales and both were superb

the 613 is one of the smoothest handling bikes i've ever rode. i think they'd be a joy to do big miles on, for me, it was a choice between cdale and a de rosa. i went for a de rosa and it's the best handling bike i've ever owned.

i would have been happy with the dale though.
