Not as serious consequences but made me angry reading this one http://tinyurl.com/2m9k9c Adult assaults a kid for riding his bike on the road instead of the pavement.
Reading things like this really makes me wish I had a helmet cam, so at least if anyone did this they would be caught.
What a horrible story and a traumatic experience for the guy involved. Hope that the he makes a full recovery. I also hope that the police catch the driver and passenger and throw away the key.
People can be such idiots. I remember watching a white van chasing a cyclist down the King's Road, trying to knock him off. Clearly the stupid driver didn't have the imagination to realise how much damage they were capable of inflicting. If he had succeeded, it would have been attempted (or actual) murder.
The driver is described as white, in his late 30s or early 40s, medium build with large beer belly, with no upper front teeth, short dark hair and was wearing a brown top and three quarter length tracksuit bottoms.

In any civilised part of the world the guy would be locked up just for looking like that, however down here in Devon its nearly accepted...
