went on a ride yesterday and had to turn back 3 times as roads, paths and trails were flooded. At one point the path i was about to take was about 3 foot underwater. Anybody else inconvenienced by the rainfall?

Yeah, our living-room window leaked and the wallpaper's all stained now. Bummer really, we've just put the house on the market! [:(]
Oh ... sorry ... erm, no, it didn't affect my riding at all [:D]

Where was this ? It looked like it was gonna honk it down in North Wales, but it didnt and had a nice dry ride and finished off with some sunbathing in the garden.0

where was it?
Mexborough, south yorks (between Doncaster and Barnsley if that helps)
I live about 4 miles from the area and didn't really realise the extent of the flooding until i went on the ride.
In January somebody gave the advice 'don't ride though a puddle that you can't see the bottom of' on this website. Whatabout if you can't see the other side of the puddle? That's what i faced yesterday.

Had to ride through two floods about 18 inches deep on the way to Scarborough on Saturday, A class Merc abandoned with door wide open in the middle of one flood [:0] We had to ride through because we did n't know another route.0
