Can anyone recommend a decent sub-œ20 jersey available online? Will I need to wear anything else on top in the warmer weather?

Cheers

Not online, but Halfords have 1/3 off some of their own clothing at the moment, and they do pretty decent s/s jersey for œ13.

I find that above about 18C, just a short sleeve jersey and shorts is fine. Next steup is arm warmers, then leg warmers, then a base layer.

I like to wear a technical vest under any jersery, keeps you cooler than just a jersey, no really it does! Sportful solid jerseys are cheap and good quality, if you looking online, other than that you're probably looking at sales at Prendas and such.

http://www.prendas.co.uk/ usually have a few jerseys under œ20 . When I last looked they had some at œ15 ... not my size though unfortunately.

You can get some really cool (sic) jerseys for under a tenner on ebay-70's and 80's Dutch and Belgian jerseys have a retro cool, unobtainable either on modern copies which cost a fortune, or on œ20 from the likes of Halfords.

Wear a mesh vest underneath-strange as it seems-warmer in the morning, and more comfortable when hot. I don't know how, only that it works.

I picked up a couple of Pearl Izumi's on Wiggle for sub œ20. They've not got much stock left, they've completely sold out of one my tops and only have the other in Extra Large.
PS washing of my Izummi's is restricted, cold wash, gentle, no detergent.
