Preventing wet weather saddle sores
I cycle 35-50 miles a day as part of my commute and never get saddle sores in the dry. If it is raining in the morning I take my wet-weather bike with mudguards, but if it is dry I take my best bike that doesn't have any. The problem is when it is dry in the morning but raining on the way home. My backside gets soaked and then it seems to be susceptible to sores at the place where the edge of the pad in my shorts is.
Is it just me that gets this, and if not, any advice on how to stop it happening (apart from fitting race blades) - e.g. are there any magic lotions?
Yes, but apart from the elephants, what have the Romans ever done for us?

In wetter weather, I reach for the Sudocreme. As it's designed with nappy use in mind, it's pretty resistant to washing off.0
