Rear rack for rear suspension MTBs - a fix
If you have a rear rack that bolts to the seat post for a MTB with rear suspension then you cant fix the rack to the rear frame and may suffer from the rack swinging from side to side and hitting the tyres despite being tightly fixed due to the weight of the pannier bags. My children have those sold by Halfords with side frames. A charity group called MotorV8 have come with a fix for me in their workshop that prevents side swing but retains vertical movement of the rack. This charity takes on under-priveliged children and teaches them skills one of which is renovating bicycles and servicing them as well as making garden features out of old bicycle parts (pennyfarthing flower pot stands for instance). They are based in Worcester and can be reached on 01905 619068. Ask for Reverend Mark Badger who runs the group (mark.badger@motov8.org.uk). At least I wont now have to buy new tyres as frequently.
