Picked up my new bike this afternoon and the roads here are all flooded! The road I live on is actually closed at one end as a result and the rain shows no signs of stopping. Shiny new bike, two inches of water on the roads and SPD incompetence do not a first ride make so I'll wait until tomorrow I guess[:(]

You've just got to take a spin - it's the law. Nothing better than wet roads to de-cherry your new bike ;)

  • I went to Evans Cycles the other day to check out bikes, they seemed pretty uninterested and test rides were out cos of the weather [V]
Finally decided to get fitter after all these years, decide cycling is the way, then I can't even buy a bliddy bike ...... BAH !!!
Did get to look at a Trek and a Ridgeback though ....... just looked ... hey hey [:D]
  • have you not taken the opportunity to take lots of pictures of your new bike and post them on the web.

Photobucket.com is the way to go, i was introduced to it a few days ago; here's a picture of my new bike:

  • I did 46 km this morning in bright sunshine here in essex, I even have the patterned sun tan on my hands through the braided cycle gloves to proove it. Then on th elast hill home is tipped down and bloody freezing it was to...I got drenched 'cos I left my jacket at home.

There's always a lot of weather about. Tommorrow will be good to go out and give the new beast a good work out. Don't let the rain put you off.

So many roads, so little time!!!
