As Duffers just said, it forced AG2R to do the chasing.

Getting in a long break the day after losing a bag load of time on a mountain stage, my guess is testosterone.[:D]

He had told the press that he was prepared to help Kaschekin win the GC of the Dauphine after he won the TT. Maybe he has changed his mind...

  • Fabulous ride by Vino yesterday. Showed what a team leader should be: Great tactics - ensured others did the chasing and timed his 1-2 breakaway to perfection, Great strength - used all his power to drag himself and Colom away from the chasers and Great generosity - gave the stage win away when the telling contribution to the stage win was his own.

Despite what people on this forum (including me) say about his "methods", there is no doubting that he is the most exciting racer to watch and you must tip your hat to him. Armstrong and Ullrich may have been superior athletes, but certainly weren't superior racers.

He clearly has the respect and full support of his team (witness Colom as he crossed the line); they will bury themselves gladly for him at the Tour and he will have the strength to take advantage. He's looking good for Paris.
