Cane Creek Direct Curve 5 Cantilevers ?

I've recently spotted these on Wiggle. They are described as cantlivers but look like vee brakes with extended and curved arms. Has anyone tried them ? Are they any good and in particular do they work with Shimano STI levers ? It looks like they may not need the same cable pull as regular vee brakes....

they been out a long while, not sure they caught on really. possibly because they cost lots
