Pump up tyres query
My tyres can take 100 psi, & being on a small wheeler they need it.
I bought a big macho "Joe Blow" pump that can put in the pressure without any problem. However, when I disconnect a disspiritingly large rush of air hisses out of the valves.
I bought the bike in November last year, so the valves should still be OK.
Any tips for disconnecting the pump without losing so much pressure?
Thanks.

Most of the hiss should be air escaping from the pump. If you are still concerned get a digital pressure check device, they dont usually release much air.

Yeah, the hiss is just the pressurised air in the pump escaping.
The air in the pump will be at the same pressure as the air in the tyre (or even slightly higher as the tyre valve would probably shut before the tyre pressure reaches the pump's air pressure).0
