Can Veloce hub take Shimano cassette?

I have a Veloce hub (Campagnolo 9 & 10 speed compatible). Can I in principle use it with a Shimano 10-speed (ultegra) drivetrain? Do I just need the right spacers or is it more complicated?

  • Need a new freehub body. Splines are totally different.

You can probably get a replacement freehub or alternatively, contact someone like Highpath Engineering to make you up the right set of spacers - you need a cassette that comes apart into seperate sprockets e.g. Mirage/Veloce.

so buying a bunch of spacers (http://www.parker-international.co.uk/P ... f956c82a30) and replacing the ones in the Campy cassette wouldn't work?

Although you can buy a replacement Shimano splined Campag freehub body for the best Campag wheelsets and Record hubs you cannot do the same for Centaur or Veloce.

Your options are either buy a Shimano hub or find a spacer kit that transforms Veloce cassettes (all individual sprockets) to Shimano spacing....although if I was in your position I would bin the Shimano drivetrain and go Campag[:)]

I'd rather travel by baby elephant than use Shimano.

The older I get, the better my power to weight ratio was.
