Smallest Handlebars in the world competition
I noticed that the latest bike trend in London seems to be for the couriers to ride a fixed track bike but with flat handlebars.
the strange thing is every few minutes you see another one, with the exception that the bars are sawn down smaller than the last one.
the competition seems to be, who can have the smallest handlebars...
some of the are so small they can barely fit their hands on!!
has anybody else noticed this competition that is going on?
and Why??

I've seen this and it's nothing to do with fitting through traffic. There are one or two I've seen who have less than a handlebar grip's length either side of the stem - you'd never need them that narrow.
I guess it is to look as foolish as possible or some kind of bet-related death-wish?0
