Just finished watching the dvd and had a flick through the book, excellent value at œ4.99 even if it is a couple of years old.

shame about sean kelly's abysmal presentation.

also unusual to find a book about cycling that misspells "peloton" as "peleton" repeatedly. or downright shoddy, or embarrassing even.

    great footage though.

Have just watched that DVD - another Mag is giving it away with it's own TDF guide. Have to say I thought Christopher Reeve (post-accident) was more animated than Sean
Already signed up for the following 2010 rides:

    Etape Caledonia (May 16th)
    AMR's Trossachs Ton (June 20th)
    AMR's Cross-Border Sportive (Sept 19th)

Ah, leave Sean alone. Maybe Wogan or Norton are better Irish presenters, but what are they like in a sprint, eh ?

Aye Sean's great in it, int he?

Great for œ4.99. They were selling that in the comic for œ25 not that long ago!
I got one for a non cycling pal who likes to watch the Tour on telly. He's delighted with it.

There is a DVD about the history of the TDF with Sean Kelly doing the joins between each period. It is like watching a zombie.

I have that DVD. Sean Kelly oozes charisma, at one point he was so animated I thought he would have a heart attack.

I'm sure he's a top bloke off camera and he is a good commentator, just leave the presentations to Boardman or someone. The cameramen must have struggled to keep a straight face

he can barely read the autocue.

it's like someone zapped him with a faceload of botox and packet of elephant tranquilisers.
