I'm looking at getting a shorter stem to reduce the weight im putting on my hands and wrists. the stem is currently 120mm and i'm looking at reducing this to 80mm, possibly 90mm.
I have a 2007 Carrera Valour but im a bit confused as to which one of the following 3 i need.

Personally, I would go to my LBS with the bike and sit on it in the shop, get them to have a look at your set up/riding position and then decide, but having recently been to www.bikefitting.com myself, I would recommend it, I went from a 90mm to 120mm, but then changed my bike for a much better fit, reach and saddle height all have an effect on your position, so unless you have some knowledge about this already, don't go buying blindly off t'internet.

I have taken advice on my riding position and that is where the idea to change stem size from 120 to 80/90 came from but I don't want to purchase something that wont fit my bike.

You're bound to need one suitable for 1 1/8" forks. An adapter can easily be used if not.

Find out the center diameter of the handlebars and get a stem with a clamp diameter to match that, within 0.2mm.

They'll be a choice of angles. That's up to you.

For good value, checkout the 3T and Oval stems on Wiggle.
