Buying a new bike- need advice for Online shops

Hi,
I'm based in Ireland, looking at buying a new bike. Prices are expensive here so I'm looking online.
I previously bought from Edinburgh Cycles and know of Wiggle and Evans.
I'm looking for a light hybrid/cyclocross- something light but not a road bike/racer preferably. Budget is about ?600/œ400 max.
Cycling will be mainly leisure or commuting to work. (My reason for not wanting a road bike is that the comfort isn't as good and the sitting position more hunched)
Can anyone recommend any good websites (doesn't matter if in UK, mainland Europe...as long as I get a good deal and good bike) or any other advice

Try Tredz as they have regular special offers.

I bought a road bike from them. Arrived very quickly and had been assembled and checked, just need to fit pedals and turn bars.

NB - this reply looks a little out of context because the post recommending Torino Lamborghini bikes from a certain eBay seller has now been removed!
AFAIK "Torino Lamborghini" bikes are manufactured by Kent International Inc. With Kent having simply purchased a license to use the name.
Kent also makes bikes branded GMC, My Little Pony etc. From a scant read of the specs, they seem to be aiming for more of the "supermarket" retail sector rather than LBS etc.

I wonder how much of a "Lucky Day" it would be for the OP if he bought one for the name [:)]

In response to the OP, I would *strongly* recommend trying bikes in a LBS.
I was tempted to save a few quid by buying online, but tried a few LBSs and it changed my pre-conceived ideas as to what bike I wanted, and what frame size would fit.
In the end with the discount the LBS gave me off the accessories I think I was within a few quid of ordering the same stuff online, but with the support of the LBS, and them setting it all up for me, fitting the accessories, and being a stone throw away if things go wrong.
Looking at Specialized for example the prices in eire seem to be near identical to UK prices i.e. 599 Euro vs œ399 for a Sirrus.
YMMV - Rufus.0
