my mavic kysrium equipe front wheel when i get out of the saddle has a harsh rubbing sound that sounds like the bearings however the bearings I think are press cartridge ones there is no problem when in saddle

has anyone experienced this and is it possible to get these bearings changed

    is the wheel rubbing against the brake pads?

    not brake blocks as it even happens when quick release is open

    You can apparently get new bearings but my experience of Mavic parts is that they will take for ever to come. Unless you've had a power hose on them the bearings should last for years. After all they are industrial quality. If they are the earlier elites, try pulling the little black caps off that go against the frame (obviously take the skewer out first) and put a bit of grease in and refit them. I get a clicking noise from mine and this cures it. Don't overtighten the skewer either.
