Carbon Flat bars

I have a Genesis day 04, having removed the grips and bar ends, the acrbon bars appear to have metal insets inside the end. Can anyone confirm that it is OK to install bar ends on to these bars ?? I have ordered Specialized's inserts to do this job but they look unlikelt yo turn up before a charity ride I am on.

    Genesis - fantastic speedy response inside 5 mins - these bars do have inserts already and short bars can be fitted.
