Steve Cummings has just been confirmed as a late entry for the Elite race in the Newcastle Leazes Criteriums this Friday evening (in Leazes Park, next to St James football stadium) and the Beaumont Trophy on Sunday (starting from Stamfordham)... should put the wind up some of the top British pro-teams (who are all riding)!
Yet another reason to come up to our fabulous weekend festival of cycling, if you're not already doing the Northern Rock Cyclone Challenge on the Saturday (now officially the second largest sportive of the year after the British Etape)...

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety

My moneys on Steve after his recent Giro ride,I remember pushing him round the lanes of Cheshire when he first started,ALWAYS said he would come good[;)]Really good lad who can have a laugh and act the clown with the best of them.Ive built bikes for Steve back in his team Brite days and I heard all the 'comments' about this and that (if you know what I mean[;)][V]) he still keeps in touch when hes in the UK,Thankfully hes VERY serious about what he does, hes a credit to British cycling and an all round nice lad.
I will be first to say I wish him ALL the best in his potentially fantastic career.
BTW...I know you wont read this Steve...BUT...wheres my bloody world champs jersey you promised me[;)][:0][:D]0
