Finally had an early morning ride in (7am ish) wearing a t-shirt without any kind of chill. Little traffic, sun shining and a new PB before finding my boss was in at 7.30 too and nearly died of shock seeing me stroll in.

I leave home at 0530 and this morning didn't even need the arm warmers, very pleasant, although after 117 mile sportif yesterday I was just taking it easy as a recovery ride.

• Summer? But it's not raining!

Tell you what though, we had a wierd mist up here yesterday. Fell like an undercooked omlette about 2330; I went home about midnight, it was like cycling through a warm bathroom. Lights barely penetrated it and the dripping from the trees was like a light shower. Didn't see a car in either direction in the half hour trip home. Very spooky.

Have you cycled in a bathroom before? [:D]

More to the point, do you really know what it's like to be an under-cooked omlette?

maybe it feels like summer today because it's JUNE[:D][:D][:D]

yesterday went on a ride which included the cat & fiddle climb. at the foot of the climb my mate sarcasticly asked if there was a localised chill around my bike (i had arm and leg warmers on, he only jersey and shorts). when we got to the summit it was freezing cold and misty and my only regret was that it's hard to look smug with dark glasses and a helmet on[;)]

if i had a better signature, i'd use that instead
riding on my bicycle, i saw a motorcrash…
