I went for a shake down trip but once again I ended up in an A&E department with a suspected broken wrist, even the triage nurse thought so, but it just turned out to be sprained, so rest for a couple of weeks and back over to finish it off.

Isle Of Man
Ramsey Douglas, Peel, Point of Aire
Snae Fell, down the mountain road with hundreds of motor bikes screaming past me, it was made one way and NO speed limit. some of those guys were doing serious speeds.

there is a Millenium cycle path from Douglas to Peel along a disused railway.

Northern Ireland

The Antrim Coast, sustrans route 93, was brilliant .flat, wind behind me, good scenery. Free tea and biscuits from a tea van. But very little in the way of campsites or B&B's if that is how you tour
Lough Neagh, sustrans route 94, well signposted and easy to follow, but once again no infrastructure.
Over the Mountains of Mourne past Spenga Dam and down to Greencastle.
Into southern Ireland and stayed with Monica , Rory and kids.
while I was getting ready to set off Cat fell over and I reached out , with my bad wrist to stop her and that was it.
got a lift to Dublin, ferry to Liverpool, met a guy at dinner and he had an empty van so gave me a lift back to Preston/
A morning of X-rays and doctors, wrist in splint and told to rest.
