Went to Kos a few years ago & you can hire mountain bikes, there's 1 shop along the 'main' road by the port another further in but not far from there. The second one is a bit cheaper too.

As for routes, well just get there explore. Its fairly small, you won't need a lock as they have those attached already and easy to get around

Take a painkiller, cycle on your bicycle and leave all this misery behind
Be kind to your knees, you'll miss them when they're gone.

Thanks, might give it a go.
  • Kos is teeming with bike shops especially Kos town.
most are of the Dutch sit up and beg but you can get mountain bikes.
as for routes, the island is about 20 miles long with a mountain in the middle, from Kos town go up via the ancient ruins, through the tourist village all the tour buses stop at and down to the 18 - 30 resort. climb past the airport and follow the coast back to Kos.
somewhere around 50 miles, stunning views and plenty of drink stops !

climbs like a sprinter, sprints like a climber.

Kos Town is somewhat flat & not many Tralis.
If you go towards Kardamena (west) there are many tracks there.
In Kardamena there's a shop that rents out quality bikes from 'Specialized'
Its called 'Kos Mountainbike', and they provide great service too.
Also- they know the best tracks there.
    :D
