Fork recommendations please

I am thinking of buying these Planet X full carbon cross forks to replace the steel fork on my Cotic Roadrat which weigh over 1kg. I need bosses for V/canti brakes, about 400mm legs, 45mm rake and space for 700c x 28 tyres with mudguards.
Has anyone tried the PX forks? Any comments good or bad? Weight is not given on their website but I guess I should save a few hundred grammes.
Or can you recommend any cheaper/lighter/better/sleeker forks that I should consider?

Judging by the number of happy Pompino owners posting on here, I've never heard of problems with forks - just the useless cantis they fit.0
