Can I buy a free wheel???
Ok, I'll explain this best I can for a numpty...
I need a new freewheel. In case my terminolgy is rubbish, the bit that the cogs slip onto on the rear wheel, and let you freewheel when you're not pedalling.
I have Zondas wheels. Can you buy these as separates? Last week the springs on the parls came loose. The LBS sorted it, so I thought, but today it's started clicking and on one occasion became a fixie, and ceased up - luckily whilst I was near lights.
I'm doing London-Paris a week Wed, and think I'd rather just get a part and put it on than risk having it 'fixed' again, and conking out somewhere in northern France. I live in NW London. I'm guessing the usual supsects at Evans/Cycle Surgery near my work are unlikely to have such a part, and when I look on Parker or Wiggle, they only seem to come attached to hubs, not as separates.
Any advice appreciated!
