My first 40!!

Did my first 40 miler today, 43 miles to be exact, wanted to put another couple on just in case my computer was out! Took 2hour 39mins and averaged 16.2mph which I'll settle for!

Did it on my second hand Halfords Carerra Tony Doyle (really old!) 14 speed. Saving up for a new Spesh, not sure what model yet, depends if my firm will join the cycle to work scheme

I must say that reading this forum has helped a lot, the advice here is second to none

    Well done mate.

    Really started my training now and also did 43 miles this morning. Not sure how long it took but im guessing 15mph average ish. Gonne try a 50 miler next weekend (need to train for 300 miles in 3 days in sept).
