  • If Wiggins does a crap prologue, I won't be surprised if Cofidis decide not to have him for the Tour.
  • Hmm but even if he does disappoint in the Prologue, there aren't too many names in the Cofidis roster who jump out as picks for the Tour, especially with Moncutie missing.

Actually just noticed on Cycling4all that it seems Wiggins is up against Duque and Verbrugghe for the final two slots in Cofidis' team. He'd better hope he does a better Prologue than Rik in the Dauphine then.
  • Hmm, appears to be raining quite hard in Grenoble. This prologue could very well be a lottery.

have a search of the Race section and you'll find Pro Tour Pundit which is open to everyone to join at any time - it covers all Pro Tour races throughout the season. And you'll find out who everyone thinks will win the Dauphine Libere...
  • Wiggins wins!

  • Well done to Wiggins and Millar today in the Dauphine today. Great to have 2 brits up there and with the tour Prologue only a few weeks away. However i think both will be under enormous pressure. i can see someone like Fabian Cancellara stealing the show as its his kind of Distance. i think the course is a bit long for Wiggins. tho it suits Millar i think he`s not going as well as previous, but i hope i am wrong...having 2 brit riders in the prologue would give cycling in this country a huge boost.

A lot of the leading contenders for the Tour tend to hold back at the Dauphine for fear of peaking too soon. It's difficult to know who was really trying.
